Types of stoping
The Backward Powerslide is a very effective way of braking.
The most important in this movement is to feel how the leg that brakes enters the gliding. In this case you will be able to do everything.
So, while moving backwards, you need to shift your weight to your front leg and bend down on it as much as possible. Then you need to trace an arc with the other leg and put it perpendicular to the supporting leg. This is the moment when you should feel gliding.
The angle that your braking leg forms against the surface should be as sharp as possible. The angle is sharper, the easier you can do the Powerslide.
