Types of stoping

Backward stop

The Backward STOP is rather beautiful way of stopping.

Backward Stop is very convenient when you move backwards and need to reduce your speed. You don’t need to turn 180 degrees and then brake. The Backward Stop will help you do it.

It’s very similar to the T-stop, but it is its mirror image.

While moving backwards, you need to shift your weight to the leg that is behind and do the braking with the leg that is ahead.

Not to lose balance and to do the Backward Stop correctly, try not to lift the leg that is ahead from the ground at the moment when you are going to brake until the very moment of stopping.
