It’s very important to master this movement with both of your legs. In this case you will be able to not just roll but to rush backwards.
In fact, while making this movement, one leg goes practically in a straight line and the other one makes a swizzle.
Choose which leg will be pushing and which one will be supporting. The supporting leg should be behind and bent at the knee, you lean on this leg while moving. Your pushing leg should be ahead of your supporting leg.
Before starting the movement, your pushing leg is in line with your supporting leg, your toes point inwards and your heel point outwards.
When starting the movement, shift your weight onto your front wheels and start pushing off your rollerblade with your pushing leg (make a glide on the inner edge of the rollerblade). Your pushing leg should trace an arc.
The movement should be continuous, you should not lift your pushing leg.
